Audi India has announced that the launch of the updated MY2021 A4 will take place on January 5. New Audi A4 bookings opened earlier this month via Audi India dealerships as well as the company's official website allowing prospective customers to pre-book the upcoming luxury sedan for an amount of Rs 2 lakh.
The Audi A4 facelift was unveiled in May 2019 and will finally go on sale in the Indian market in January 2021. Compared to the earlier model, the facelifted A4 features prominent revisions to the exterior including new headlamps and tail lamps with LED signatures in line with Audi's current design language as seen on the new A6 and A8. The grille and front and rear bumpers have been restyled as well.

Inside, the most prominent change is the introduction of a new and bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen display for the latest version of Audi's MMI infotainment setup. The rotary dial placed lower down next to the gear selector has been done away with. Notable features on offer include a sunroof, electrically adjustable seats with memory function for the driver's seat, ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, Audi Virtual Cockpit, wireless charging and eight airbags.
Under the hood, Audi has dropped the pre-facelift model's 1.4-litre turbo petrol and introduced a more powerful 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. This engine produces 190bhp and 320Nm and can haul the sedan from 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds. As is the case with all new Volkswagen Group products, there will be no diesel variant on offer.
2021 Audi A4 price is expected to range from Rs 42 lakh to Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). The A4 will rekindle its rivalry with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series and the Jaguar XE. In March, the new Audi A4 will get another rival in the form of the Volvo S60.
